Dear Seniors
We wanted to let you know, as of 2024, The Madison County Chief County Assessment Office will no longer require renewal on the Senior Citizens Homestead Exemption (the yellow card).Yearly renewal WILL still be required for those eligible for the Assessment Freeze! These applications will be mailed out to you from the Assessor’s Office. If you have any questions, you can call our office at 618-259-1532.
People who have already signed up for tax exemptions, will receive a packet in the mail in January of the new year, for renewing those exemptions.
